We are happy to announce the return of right-sided defender Ellis Myles for the 2024/25 season.
Ellis will reunite with manager Kevin Wilkin for a second season at the New Buck’s Head, continuing a relationship that flourished at Brackley Town, with Kevin guiding Ellis and his Brackley colleagues to an FA Trophy triumph and the Saints consistently reaching the post-season playoffs.
31-year-old Ellis was one of many consistent performers for the Bucks in the 2023/24 season and was almost ever-present as a key component of one of the division’s best defensive units.
His experience and energy will again be available to Kevin as the Bucks look to rebound from playoff disappointment following a hugely positive campaign. Ellis admitted that going one better was already in his thinking:
“After the season we had we probably deserved to go up, but obviously, that didn’t work out. If we keep everyone together, hopefully we can have a good go at it and win it outright this time.”
Kevin was likewise looking forward to managing Ellis again:
“I’ve worked with Ellis for maybe eight seasons now, and he’s a great presence in the changing room and a very popular player in the group. I know what Ellis brings on the field and I’m hoping he can have another very consistent season.”
