It gives us great pleasure to confirm that Max Brogan will remain as a Buck until the conclusion of the 2024/25 season.
Following discussions with Max and his parent club, Scunthorpe United, the 23-year-old midfielder has committed to the Bucks for our remaining games and our goal of achieving promotion.
Max has been a consistent selection in his time with the Bucks, starting every game he has been available for since his debut against Stamford in January.
He has made eleven appearances, scoring twice, and has been a welcome and popular addition to the club.
Confirming that Max will stay with the Bucks until the season concludes, Kevin Wilkin spoke positively about Max’s contribution whilst also believing there is more to come.
“Max is a player we spoke to last summer, and his performances have shown why we showed interest in bringing him here. He’s given us more energy in the middle of the pitch, but he’s comfortable with the ball; he carries it well and can use it well. He’s got things in his game to improve, but he wants to improve, which excites me as a manager. He comes ready to work for every session and every game, and we’re pleased that Scunthorpe is happy for him to stay; he wants to stay and help us, and it’s good to have Max on board until the end of the season.”
In other player news, we can confirm that Harvey Solley has left the club to join Gosport Borough. We waived a seven-day approach from Gosport, and Harvey has agreed to terms to join Boro, which suits Harvey’s family situation.
We thank Harvey for his contribution to the club, especially to our under-18s, and wish him all the best for the future.
