As you may now be aware, Scunthorpe United, his parent club, has recalled Max Brogan from his loan with the Bucks.
We are disappointed to lose Max; however, Scunthorpe has exercised the recall option on Max to assist them with an injury crisis.
With The Iron aiming for promotion from the National League North, manager Andy Butler would wish to have as many players available for selection as possible. With the signing deadline having been passed, recalling Max strengthens those options.
Unfortunately, this also means Max cannot return to the Bucks this season. Whilst players recalled from a loan can and do go back on loan to the same club, as happened in the case of Joe Morris’s loan from Shrewsbury Town, this effectively becomes a new loan and not a continuation of the previous one.
With the loan deadline now passed, his recall means that Max will remain with Scunthorpe.
We’d like to thank Max for his contribution to our season and wish The Iron well for their promotion challenge.
