We are happy to confirm the arrival of midfielder Harry Hawkins at the club on an initial 28-day youth loan from EFL Championship side Derby County.
Harry, who turns nineteen in March 2025, strengthens Kevin Wilkin’s squad ahead of the Christmas and New Year period. Harry’s registration with the Southern League has gone through, so he is eligible for selection for our Premier Central fixture away to Royston Town FC.
Harry was one of several players to join Derby County’s Under-21s squad full-time in the summer of 2024 after two years with the Under-18s.
He was rewarded with a two-year scholarship after excelling at youth level in the 2021/22 campaign, during which time he was named the Academy Player of the Year.
While still a schoolboy, he made 16 league appearances for the Under-18s during the campaign.
In 2022/23, his development ramped up even further as he made 31 appearances, 16 for the Under-21s and 15 for the Under-18s.
He also earned a spot on the bench for the first team during their EFL Trophy clash again Manchester City Under-21s at Pride Park Stadium in October 2022.
Harry continued to be a valued member of the Academy set-up across 2023/24, featuring 30 times in all competitions, 15 of which were for the Under-21s.
The midfielder was also featured in a senior matchday squad in November 2023, when the Rams defeated the Wolves under 21s in the EFL Trophy Group Stages.
The 18-year-old has made nine appearances in Premier League 2 for Jake Buxton’s Under-21s side to date this season.
Welcome to the Bucks, Harry!
