We are pleased to confirm the signing of Jordan Cranston, who has signed for the club from Redditch United.
Jordan, aged 31, comes aboard following Nathan Fox’s departure to Spalding United, and Bucks manager Kevin Wilkin was happy to secure the services of the former Solihull Moors and AFC Fylde defender, revealing that Jordan has been on his list of potential recruits for some time.
“I am pleased that we’ve been able to recruit Jordan. He’s a slightly different player from Nathan, but both have a decent left foot. I spoke to Jordan in the summer and would have liked to have brought him into the club, as we needed more competition down the left-hand side. Our budget dictated that we couldn’t get him in at that time, which was unfortunate, but I’m looking forward to working with him, and hopefully, he can fill the void Nathan leaves.”
With Nathan Fox expressing a desire to move on, the club acted quickly and gave Redditch United seven days’ notice of their intention to speak to Jordan, who was on non-contract terms at the Valley Stadium. Redditch agreed to waive this notice period to enable us to complete a deal for Jordan, and we thank them for their understanding in this respect.
Jordan has now completed his signing, and the club has received approval from the Southern League, making him available to be selected against Bishop’s Stortford Town on Saturday (2nd November).
Jordan is linking up again with several former teammates, including Kyle Storer, Alex Gudger, and Jordan Piggott, with whom he was at Solihull Moors.
We hope you will all join us in welcoming Jordan to the club.
