Womens
We’ll start this edition of Bucks Bulletin with words of congratulation for our AFC Telford United Women’s team, who have successfully reached the first round of the Adobe Women’s FA Cup.
A 3-2 victory at the SEAH Stadium over Ilkeston Town Ladies secured their path through qualifying, defeating a team from a higher division to do so.
Abbie Baldwin, Abi Beady and Charlotte Budd all scored first-half goals to give them a 3-1 advantage by half-time. Although Ilkeston did reduce the deficit to one goal towards the end of the second half, the Bucks stayed strong and were able to celebrate a fine victory.
We’ll share details of the the draw for the first round as soon as we have it.

Supporters Association
The next TUSA meeting is on Monday, October 14th, 2024. It will take place in the Learning Centre and commence at 7 p.m.
Please consider coming along if you have any available time, energy, or imagination that could benefit the club. You are not obligated to get involved, so why not come to the meeting and see if you can contribute? If you find it’s not for you, there will be no hard feelings, and at least you’ll know what’s involved.
As we hope you will have seen, TUSA are bringing back our Legends Hall of Fame event on 23rd November, and the more people are involved with TUSA the more they can achieve, all with the aim of benefitting the club:
Foundation
We hope you’ll join us in sending best wishes for a speedy recovery to Ian Preece, director of the AFC Telford United Foundation and the Mayor of the Borough of Telford and Wrekin.
Ian ruptured a tibial tendon in training for another of his many charity challenges. However, he will doubtless still be hard at work taking the Bucks into the community, even if he’s less mobile than usual – heal well and quickly, Ian!
From the Dressing Room
New Arrival
Firstly, we congratulate Matty Stenson and partner Shannon, who welcomed a daughter, Darcie, into the world on 25th September.
Three Figures for Byron and Piggo?
Two Bucks are in an unofficial race to reach one hundred competitive appearances for the club.
Jordan Piggott and Byron Moore are tied on ninety-seven appearances each, having arrived at the club with a month of one another. Piggo debuted on loan from Solihull Moors in a 4-1 defeat at Gateshead in January 2022, while Byron made his Bucks bow in a 1-0 home defeat by Kidderminster Harriers in February 2022.
Our current schedule means that should they play, Jordan and Byron will hit the milestone together in our away game at Redditch United on 21st October.
In our twenty-first season since the club reformed, they should become the twenty-third and twenty-fourth players to reach three figures, and that got us thinking…
Can you name the players who, since 2004, have reached centurion status?
Try the quiz below, and it may also give you some inspiration for your nominations as club Legends at our forthcoming Hall of Fame event…

There are no prizes, but if you score over seventy-five per cent, you can feel smug about your Bucks knowledge.
PS Huge thanks as ever to marvellous Mo Barker for having the stats at his fingertips.

If you follow the club on social media, and we hope you do, you may have seen our recent posts about the availability of various forms of sponsorship, from player kit sponsorship to sponsorship of our social media output.
We know that only some people are in a position to be a sponsors, but you can help spread the word about our sponsorship and commercial opportunities by sharing them with your followers.

The same applies to any of our content – if you like it, why not share it? The greater our reach, the better – footage of our recent flood at the SEAH Stadium was viewed over 350,000 times on Facebook! We know that bad news tends to attract more attention than good news does, but if we had just 10% of that viewing figure for our positive stories we’d be spreading word about the club so much further.
