"Bucks women seek cup giant killing as Glassgirls visit."

This Sunday AFC Telford Women look to make history and progress to the second round of the Adobe Women’s FA Cup for the first time in their history. Standing in the way is Stourbridge, a side to play three league higher with the likes of Wolves, Derby and Nottingham Forest.

For the Bucks it’s their fourth game in this impressive run to the first round of the cup. They beat league rivals Newcastle Town 10-0 in the first qualifying round before going on to beat Belper Town Ladies 5-1 in the next round. They then went on to beat higher league opposition Ilkeston Town 3-2 at the SEAH Stadium in the final qualifying round.

Meanwhile for the visitors they enter the competition at the first round. However it is not the first time they will have played at the SEAH Stadium this season having fallen to a 4-0 defeat against Wolverhampton Wanderers in the league on the opening day of the season.

The two sides have never played each other in the past despite Stourbridge’s rapid rise through the the leagues.

The Bucks head into this game as the underdogs but the magic of the FA Cup can throw up all sorts of the shocks and they will hoping to be one come Sunday evening.
