The Bucks will visit Worksop Town at the KC Sofas Stadium in Nottinghamshire for their first away fixture of the 2026/27 Enterprise National League North campaign.
The Bucks' encounters with the Tigers last season were split, with both sides recording home victories. The Bucks won 2-1 at the SEAH Stadium after being a goal down, and then suffered a 3-1 loss away from home, after conceding in the first minute at the KC Sofas Stadium. Kevin Wilkin will hope his side can come away with 3 points for the first time at the KC Sofas Stadium to kick-start their campaign following defeat to Brackley Town on opening day.
The Tigers finished on 57 points last season, placing 16th, 5 points off the drop. Statistically, they were the 13th best team at home, making the KC Sofas Stadium a fortress at times. They continued this into pre-season, going unbeaten across all games. With the Bucks having an inconsistent away record in the 25/26 season, being the 8th worst away side statistically, Kevin Wilkin will encourage his side to get off to a positive start.
Craig Parry is the man in charge at the KC Sofas Stadium and has been since May 2020. Parry is familiar with the English football leagues, having previously played for Barnsley, Halifax Town and Goole in goal. He then went on to manage Pontefract Collieries, where he won back-to-back promotions before attracting Worksop’s higher-ups, who brought him in at the beginning of the decade.
Parry has been busy this summer bringing in additional talent as well as keeping the quality of his squad from last season. The Telford defence will be more than aware of the Tigers’ number 10, Oli Greaves, who bagged himself a brace against the Bucks on his Tigers debut at the KC Sofas Stadium last season, striking in the final 20 minutes to sink the Bucks 3-1. Another player the Bucks should look out for is Liam Waldock, who was the Tigers’ star in pre-season, outscoring the rest of the team from midfield. Waldock, a former Alfreton Town player, is on a season-long loan having spent some of last season on loan from parent club, Boston United.
Whilst the Bucks started the season with a home defeat, the Tigers secured a victory on the road, winning 2-1 at Darlington's Blackwell Meadows last weekend. They took the lead through recent signing Kian Harratt, the former Oldham Athletic forward who once scored the goal that returned the Latics to the EFL in a promotion final victory over Southend United. Max Howells equalised for the Quakers, but Lewis Whitham's winner just after the hour gave Worksop the ideal start to the campaign.
