Bishop's Stortford
2 v 2

AFC Telford
Match Review
The Bucks left Hertfordshire frustrated, after a late equaliser saw the Blues salvage a 2-2 draw.
Stortford made a fast start to the game, but the Bucks stood up to the pressure and matched the hosts stride for stride early on. Wilkin’s men took the lead in the 19th minute when Matty Stenson headed in Jordan Cranston’s cross. But the Blues were level just three minutes later as Luka Chalwell climbed highest in the Bucks’ box to flick the ball past Brandon Hall.
The Bucks were back in front shortly before half time thanks to yet another headed goal. This time it was Jimmy Armson who found the net with a lovely touch from a cross from the left. Wilkin’s men were probably the better side in the first half, and the Bucks’ 2-1 lead at the break felt about right.
In the second half though, the hosts started driving the agenda. A goal up, the Bucks possibly sat back too much and invited pressure from the hosts, which eventually told in the 82nd minute. Mark Haines was brought down by Ellis Myles and Cole Dasilva smashed his penalty confidently into the top corner.
The Bucks weren’t without their chances in the second half, but Stortford were good value for their point. The 2-2 draw means that the Bucks have now drawn three games in a row, which sees Wilkin’s men slip down to 3rd in the table.
