The Bucks began the new season with 1-1 draw at new boys Biggleswade Town.

Wilkin’s men looked much the better side in the first half but only had Matty Stenson’s penalty right on half time to show for their efforts. Stenson swept home the spot kick to see the Bucks head into the break 1-0 up.

But the Waders grew into the game in the second half, showing plenty of tenacity and fighting spirit as they eventually battled back to grab an equaliser. Two of Biggleswade’s newest signings combined, as Cyrus Babaie nipped in at the near post to turn Eddie Panter’s cross passed Brandon Hall.

Both sides huffed and puffed but neither could find a winner, with the game finishing 1-1.
