AFC Telford
Match Review
The Bucks played out an uneventful goalless draw at Banbury.
The best chance of the game fell to Jimmy Armson in the 34th minute. Banbury keeper Jack Harding did well to smoother at Matty Stenson’s feet when the Bucks’ top scorer was played through, but the ball fell to Armson who sent an effort towards goal, only for Harry Reilly to clear off the line.
But that was about that. The rest of the game was a scrappy affair in which both sides cancelled each other out. The only other real point of note was a red card for Orrin Pendley in the 83rd minute, when the Bucks’ man pulled back Connor Ferguson 35 yards from goal to deny a goal-scoring opportunity.
A stalemate perhaps not all that surprising given that the two sides are the division’s draw specialists. The Bucks fall four points behind leaders Bedford with three games to go, so Kevin Wilkin’s men will need a minor miracle to claim the title from here.
