AFC Telford
1 v 5
Stourbridge
Match Review
The Bucks slumped to a 5-1 defeat against Stourbridge on a disappointing night at the SEAH Stadium.
The Glassboys started much the brighter of the two sides, and deserved found themselves in a 2-0 lead after 27 minutes; Alex Bradley doubling the lead after an early goal from Harvey Portman.
Having headed in the break 2-0 down, Wilkin’s men were stirred into life by Remi Walker’s excellent strike in the 52nd minute. The Bucks continued to press and probe for an equaliser, but the Glassboys held firm. It was a very even half, in fact, until a late collapse by the Bucks saw Stourbridge end the game as comfortable winners. With the score at 2-1 with five minutes to go, the Glassboys ran in three goals in quick succession to finish 5-1 winners; Miro Pais’ strike sandwiched between a brace from Toumani Sidibe.
The Bucks will look to bounce back against Hitchin Town on Saturday.
