AFC Telford
5 v 4
Hitchin Town
Match Review
The Bucks won a rollercoaster of a game to pick up a first three points of the season.
Kevin Wilkin’s men took an early lead when Alex Gudger scored just seven minutes into his debut, but quickfire goals from Coree Wilson and Liam Brooks saw the Canaries surge ahead. Sam Whittall’s  long range thunderbolt made it 2-2, as the teams headed into the break all square.
Dior Angus won and scored a penalty early in the second half to bag his first goal for Bucks, but a second goal from Hitchin’s Brooks levelled the scores once more. After an end-to-end game, the Bucks looked have wrapped things up thanks to goals from Ricardo Dinanga and Ellis Brown, which made it 5-3 to the Bucks deep into stoppage time. An even later strike from the Canaries’ Jack Dreyer then made it 5-4, but the Bucks held on to claim an important first win of the season.
