The Bucks were back in league action on Sunday and welcomed newly promoted Eccleshall to TCAT. After drawing with Walsall last week they knew they could not afford to drop any further points if they wanted to keep the pressure on Hednesford Town. 

It was the Bucks that started the game the fastest and with just 4 minutes on the clock they opened the scoring. Liv Bellamy collected an Eccleshall goal kick on the right hand side before cutting inside finding Jem Smith 20 yards from goal. With space to turn she picked her spot low off the right hand post.

In the 18th minute the lead was doubled courtesy of some free slowing football started by skipper Nicholson who broke down a visiting attack. She found Smith in the centre of the park who in turn found Richards. Once the ball was into Beady up top she found Sasha Woodhouse who made a surging run down the left hand side. With space to run onto and time to pick her spot, she finished low and hard across the keeper. 

The remainder of the half was dominated by the home side but they were unable to find that third game that would ultimately secure the 3 points.

HALF TIME: AFC Telford 2 Eccleshall 0

The second half went very much the same as the first with neither side creating any significant chances of note. With the Bucks controlling possession, they found the killer 3rd goal with 5 minutes left on the clock. It was Abby White who started and finished the move, intercepting an attempted clearance just inside the Eccleshall half. After receiving the loose ball from Woodhouse out wide, White ran into space before unleashing an unstoppable strike from 25 yards; despite the dive of the visiting keeper. 

A solid display from the Bucks to collect the 3 points and a clean sheet ahead of a big game against league leaders Hednesford at the weekend.
