"Bucks aiming to start 2022 with a bang"

AFC Telford round off the festive period with a trip to Chester on Sunday.

The two sides of course met on Boxing Day, with the Blues picking up their first away win of the season by overcoming the Bucks 3-1.

That game was new boss Steve Watson’s first game in charge of the Cheshire club following his appointment just before Christmas. And Chester chalked up a 2-2 draw at home with AFC Fylde on Tuesday to remain unbeaten under their new boss.

Darren Stephenson, who scored Chester’s third goal at the New Bucks Head last week, has scored in each of his last three appearances.

The Bucks, meanwhile, claimed a well-deserved point away at Leamington in the week. With the Bucks having been 2-0 down with less than five minutes to go, Paul Carden will hope the stirring late comeback will help the Bucks build some momentum to start climbing the table.
