Another week another cup game for the Bucks Women, this time in the league cup second round where Walsall are the visitors. The Bucks will be hoping to bounce back from last weeks exit in the first round proper of the FA Cup by booking a place in the Quarter Final of the league cup.

The Bucks progressed past Lichfield City in the first round just two weeks ago. A first half brace from Jem Smith and a second half Charlotte Budd brace secured progress. Meanwhile the visitors had a bye in the first round.

Despite finishing 18 points clear of the visitors last season in the league, Walsall were one of just two teams to take points off the Bucks thanks to a 1-1 draw in early April. It’s set to be a close fought contest this weekend as history tells with the other fixture last season ending in a 2-1 victory for  Telford thanks to goals from Lexie Bennett and Sasha Woodhouse.

Both sides know victory will secure them a quarter final tie against Tamworth.
