This Sunday AFC Telford Women step out at the SEAH Stadium knowing victory will see them into the first round proper of the FA Cup for the second time in their history. Having beaten Newcastle Town and Belper Town respectively, they host East Midland Regional League side Ilkeston Town; a side who play one tier higher in the Women’s football pyramid.

The visitors have had a mixed start to the season, picking up one win from their opening five league games. They did however beat fellow league side Mansfield Town to progress to the Third Qualifying round of the cup having lost to the same opposition in the league.

The Bucks on the other hand got to this stage in the competition with an emphatic victory over fellow league side Newcastle Town. Charlotte Budd led the way in the game with a hat trick with Jem Smith and Meg Jones grabbing braces. This set up a tie away at East Midlands Regional League side Belper Town. After seeing the tie originally postponed due to a waterlogged pitch, they bounced back from going a goal down early on to run out comfortable 5-1 winners. Charlotte Budd added a further 2 goals to her tally in the competition with Abby White, Abbie Baldwin and Skye Hipkiss also on the scoresheet.
