The college is part of the Armstrong Learning Group who are the biggest EFA funded provider in the country. In their recent inspections the group achieved a “Good” rating in all categories from Ofsted and “Outstanding” by the Independent Schools Inspectorate. The college aims to provide a “Private School for Free” environment by incorporating the following;

  • Small academic group sizes (average 14)
  • A Samsung Galaxy tablet free for all students
  • Additional tutoring each week on top of lessons
  • Personalised work placement programme with links to a wide range of employers

Students progress into a range of careers such as paid football, teaching, physiotherapy, coaching and business.

THE EDUCATION

Students are enrolled on to one of the following qualifications;

  • BTEC L2 Diploma
  • BTEC L3 Diploma (2 A-Levels)
  • BTEC L3 Extended Diploma (3 A-Levels)

Students will need to resit English and/or Maths GCSE qualifications if they do not achieve a minimum of a Level 4 grade.

THE FOOTBALL

Each student will train at least three times a week and play weekly games on a Wednesday afternoon. Games are recorded and performances are evaluated through analysis sessions.

The football curriculum includes technical and tactical coaching from high level UEFA coaches, strength and conditioning sessions and the use of GPS vests to monitor progress to replicate a professional football academy. Students also have the opportunity to attend annual football tours.

The football sides have won a series of leagues and produced players who have signed with the first team as well as played football in countries around the world.

Page colour

Black text on a white page is the harshest combination there is. A tint takes the glare off without making the text harder to read.
