Whilst the country has been occupied with whether to go red, blue, yellow or green, the Bucks have been busy securing a seat for Ellis Brown.
The exciting wide player, who had a significant impact following his mid-season arrival, returns to the club having agreed terms for the 2024/25 season.
21-year-old Ellis arrived as a free agent in December 2023, having sustained an injury in pre-season whilst on trial at a Step 2 club.
He debuted as a substitute in the 2-1 victory over Barwell two days before Christmas when he gift-wrapped a cross for Byron Moore to score the winning goal.
He made his first start on Boxing Day at Halesowen Town and quickly became one of manager Kevin Wilkin’s regular selections. He scored his first goal at Royston Town in early February and picked up another goal in the 3-0 victory at Stratford Town eleven days later.
In a squad packed with experience, Ellis’ youth helps to provide the blend and balance that Kevin Wilkin likes to have in his teams, and his versatility should also give his manager options, with Ellis able to play on either the right or left-hand side. He has also operated as a wing-back, besides the more familiar attacking midfield role Bucks fans saw him in last season.
