We are pleased to be able to announce the return of an eighth player from last season’s squad, with Kyle Storer signing for the 2024/25 season.
The hugely experienced midfielder came aboard from Nuneaton Borough in January 2024 when the Warwickshire club resigned from the Southern League.
Kyle’s know-how in the centre of the pitch helped provide the Bucks with a platform to kick on to some of their best form of the campaign. Kyle also contributed a couple of calmly converted penalty kicks as the Bucks fell marginally short of their goal of promotion.
Although he reached his 37th birthday a few days before the end of the regular season, manager Kevin Wilkin feels that ‘Stoz’ continues to have much to offer:
“The combination between Kyle, Remi (Walker) and Jordan (Piggott) meant we had arguably as strong as any midfield at the level last season. Kyle has a great understanding of the game and although he sustains a good level of fitness anyway, he didn’t get anywhere near a full preseason, so that can only help him this time. He doesn’t get around as quickly as perhaps he did when I first managed him (at Nuneaton), but certainly where he is better is that understanding of how to manage himself and the team; he’s strong and he’s a leader, and he’s a winner, and we need as many people like that as we can in the group.”
Welcome back, Kyle!
