Competition : FA Trophy
Ground : Farley Way Stadium
Kick Off : 15:00
The Bucks travel to Leicestershire this weekend to take on Quorn in the Third Qualifying Round of the Isuzu FA Trophy.
The step 4 club are currently riding high in the Northern Premier League Division One Midlands. Under the guidance of former Buck Richard Lavery, the Reds have made a strong start to the season and currently sit in 3rd having picked up 15 points from their opening eight games.
Notably, Quorn have won all four of their league games on home turf this season, while they have already seen off Coventry Sphinx (4-0) and Leek Town (4-2) at Farley Way in the Trophy. The only blemish on their otherwise perfect home record this season, in fact, was a 1-1 draw with Carlton Town in the FA Cup. What’s more, the Reds have notched an impressive 22 goals across those seven games, including half a dozen in a 6-1 win against Gresley Rovers last weekend – making the Leicestershire outfit the joint-top scorers in their division.
Quorn’s main threat this season has been Paddy Webb, who has notched eight goals in all competitions, while Tyree Wilson and Courey Grantham have also been among the goals of late. The Reds squad also features former Buck Jordan Gough and ex-Nuneaton men Ryan Beswick and Cain Noble.
The Bucks staged a stirring comeback at Stourbridge last time out, and will be looking to get back to winning ways after a ten-day stretch without a game. While Kevin Wilkin’s men have endured a rough recent run of home form, the Bucks are unbeaten in two on the road and will be aiming to keep that run going on Saturday.
