Our Football Operations Manager Luke Shelley has resigned from AFC Telford United and has accepted a position as Operations Manager at Wolverhampton Wanderers FC. Understandably to join a Premier League Club is a huge step up in Luke’s career. We will miss him hugely as he has done a great job in his 12 years with us and has always gone above and beyond in the various roles, he has held with us.
We are pleased that Wolves have agreed for Luke to work an extended notice period with us to make the transition as smooth as possible.
Luke said, ‘It’s been an honour to work in various roles for my hometown football club and to have worked with so many amazing people over the years. Although I am really excited by the new challenge, I am very sad to be leaving the club which has been my life for such a long time. I will look forward to standing on the terraces and supporting AFC Telford United in getting this club back where it belongs!”

We will communicate in due course the club’s plans for finding a successor to Luke.
