Just eleven of our 2019/20 season ticket holders requested a refund for the games not played and four of those immediately used their refund to purchase items including shirts and pitch squares from the club. So a net seven season ticket holders exercised their right to a 2019/20 refund, these have been dealt with and we were pleased to do so.
This is to thank the vast majority of our 2019/20 season ticket holders that did not request a refund, we are very grateful for this, it has helped the football club hugely through a very difficult period financially and assisted us materially in our preparation for next season.
On a separate matter thank you to everyone that purchased early bird season tickets for next season 2020/21. These were priced at Adult £215 and Concession £179, this was an increase of £10 in both cases, compared with early bird for the previous season, partly on the assumption that the National League would keep to their commitment to increase the number of clubs in our league to 24 clubs. For reasons we only partly understand, the League have not actioned this change and there will again be 21 home games in season 2020/21.
There are two options in relation to this :
Option one: to request a refund of £10
2020/21 early bird season Adult and Concession season ticket holders are entitled to a refund of £10 each.
Option two: Support the football club by not requesting a refund
The second option is for supporters to donate their £10 refund to the football club. Naturally this is the preferred option of the club, given that we have seen most of our income streams fall from their normal level to virtually zero and that our priority remains ensuring that we go into next season in a stable sustainable financial position and our plans to be very competitive in 2020/21 are not put in jeopardy.
Whilst we have stated above that Option 2, a donation back to the football club is very welcome, we fully acknowledge that some of you may not be in a position to do this and any requests for £10 refunds will be dealt with promptly. For 2020/21 early bird season ticket holders that wish to request a refund please email [email protected] by Monday 31st August.
For any supporters that don’t contact us by 31st August 2020, we will assume Option 2 that the refund can be donated to the football club.
