We are delighted to confirm that we have agreed with Mansfield Town for Jakub Kruszynski to extend his loan with the Bucks to cover the rest of the 2024/25 season.
Since arriving at the SEAH Stadium in November, Jakub has made a hugely positive impression, with two starts and one appearance from the substitutes bench.
The final game of his initial twenty-eight loan period was scheduled to be the fixture with Banbury United (14th December). Bucks manager Kevin Wilkin was keen to extend this, and with his parent club’s support, Jakub will swap from being a Stag to a Buck, although Mansfield will retain a recall option.
Asked about the continuation of Jakub’s stay with the Bucks, Kevin spoke highly of the impact he has made in a month at the club:
“When he got off the bench against Hadley and came on, he managed the ball really well and looked physically capable of providing what we need. He started the next game (St Ives Town) and again had a really solid game and backed it up with another one against Leiston. We’ve been really impressed with him, and that’s why we’ve extended his loan for the rest of the season.”
Kevin was also pleased that Jakub’s parent club felt that the Bucks were the right place for him to continue his development:
“I think Mansfield are really happy with how things are progressing for Jakub and were keen to leave him here for the rest of the season, so naturally we jumped at that chance.”
Welcome back, Jakub, even though you never really left!
