" Bucks Women once again in cup action"

Following an enforced week off, the Bucks Women are back in action this time in the League Cup where they host fellow league side Lichfield City.

Lichfield are new to the division this year having been relegated from the Premier Division. Whilst the Bucks visited the Trade Tyre Stadium last season, this was against City reserves who unfortunately folded due to the first teams relegation. It has been a very stop start season for them so far having played just a single league game; a 3-1 victory over Tamworth. They progressed past one round of the Women’s FA Cup before being beaten by a single goal against Shrewsbury Town at home.

Meanwhile for the Bucks, they remain on just the two league games due to their impressive FA Cup run and a blank weekend for county cup fixtures. Whilst they have to wait and play catch up again in the league, this fixture is a welcome test ahead of next weekends FA Cup first round tie against Tier 3 side Stourbridge.

Last time out they booked their place in the first round with a 3-2 victory at the SEAH Stadium against Ilkeston Town Ladies.

The winners of the tie will face Walsall in the next round.
