Owens at the helm for Bucks Women

Following the departure of manager Sean Evans at the end of last season, we are pleased to announce that his assistant Alex Owens has stepped up into the role of Head Coach for the 2024/25 campaign. Owens is no stranger to AFC Telford having joined the club as assistant to Darel Tidman- Poole in 2020 and has been ever present since.

Owens inherits a strong core of players ahead of the season opener next weekend, the majority of which present in back to back second place finishes the last two seasons and finalists last time out in the Shropshire Women’s Cup. With only first place promoted to the West Midlands Regional League Premier division, Owens will be hoping to lead the side to promotion come may next year.

We wish Alex, his back room staff and all his players the best for the upcoming season. We’d also like to take this opportunity to thank Sean Evans for all his effort and commitment to the club arriving at a difficult time but built great foundations to move forward.

Keep your eyes peeled on social media as squad news is announced ahead of the kick off next week.
