AFC Telford United boss Gavin Cowan has today paid
tribute to the Telford faithful for the support they have shown to the club
since his appointment as manager.
Over 1,200 supporters attended the first home of the
season last weekend when the Bucks beat early promotion favourites Southport 1-0
at the New Bucks Head. Our hospitality executive boxes sold out on Saturday and
over the past month we have seen an increase in supporters purchasing season
Chairman Andy Pryce & boss Gavin Cowan held a fans forum
last Thursday evening when they spoke in length to supporters about the season
ahead and what they hope to achieve.
The Bucks boss did
not give a specific aim – such as promotion or the play-offs – but said:
"I don't see a limitation on things.
"Do I think I
can bring back those days when me and Phil played here? Yes, I do.
supporters travelled to Kidderminster on Tuesday evening which was one of the
largest following of Telford supporters to a league game for several years.
“This is what I have been talking about since being appointed
as the manager. If our supporters can continue to show the support they have against
Southport & Kidderminster, it gives our club the best chance of getting
back where it belongs. With the players performance and the support on show its
make me proud to be the manager of this football club”
The Bucks are back in action on Saturday when they travel to
Guiseley before hosting Brackley Town at the New Bucks Head on Tuesday 14th
