4 Girls sides were in action last weekend as other sides enjoyed the second week of the Easter break. However their were some key fixtures as sides looked to make some movement towards the top of the league.
We start our round up with the Under 12 Girls who were taking part in the Shropshire Girls Futsal League. It was a busy afternoon for the Girls but some great performances left them unbeaten for the tournament. 3 wins and 5 draws gave them a third place finish. Meanwhile the Under 13 Girls were looking to keep the pressure on league leaders Redditch United as they faced Leafield Athletic. It was a great all round performance from the Girls as goals from Orla Molloy (3), Niamh Bullock, Leah Davies and Charlotte Gardener gave them a 6-1 victory to move them to the top of the league.
Another side looking to keep the pressure on the league leaders were the Under 15 Girls. Is was one way traffic for the Girls as they scored 9 unanswered goals away at Leamington Lions. Goals came from Kacey Davies (2), Finley Bates (2), Abbie Norry, Nykeshia Reed, Lauren Pritchard, Maia Haywood-Richards and Hannah Knowles. They remain a single point behind leaders Derby with 3 games remaining.
We end our round up with the Under 18 Girls who faced a double header against Worcester City. Due to the fixture backlog, the first half and first game ended in a convincing 5-1 victory, courtesy of goals from Fran Scott (2), Abbie Baldwin, Ashley Kilgour and Tyla Richards. The second half and second game resulted in a 4-0 victory thanks to goals from Chantelle Teare (2), Lucy Holloway and Anna Lister.
