Due to the high number of Collection Requests AFC Telford United receive, we are now regulating the number and frequency of Collections undertaken at the New Bucks Head.
An application form must be completed and returned. This form can be downloaded at the bottom of this page.
The criteria for selection of the collections are as follows:
You must be a registered charity, community or voluntary organisation, or an individual who is acting on behalf of either of these.
The organisation must operate within the Shropshire area. Priority will be given to those organisations operating within Telford and Wrekin.
You must have permission from the organisation to collect. A letter from the organisation confirming the organisation’s full name and / or charity number must be submitted.
Priority will be given to organisations who have applied to collect but have not been successful so far.
Under Section 63 of the Charities Act 992 a person may be found guilty of an offence where they falsely state that an institution for which they are raising money is a registered charity unless they have reasonable grounds for believing that the institution was registered.
AFC Telford United reserves the right to request additional information on organisations and reserve the right to refuse requests.
Additional Information for collectors:
Collection buckets must display your organisation branding.
All collectors must wear fluorescent jackets / vests.
A maximum of 16 collectors are permitted; names must be given to the club at least 72 hours in advance of the collection – failure to do so will lead to cancellation of the collection.
Collection buckets must also display a security seal that can be easily seen and should not be tampered with.
AFC Telford United are not obliged to rearrange a collection should for any reason one be cancelled or postponed.
