FA Trophy History

Telford United have a formidable record in the FA Trophy.

The clubs record of five appearances in the final is unequalled and only Scarborough and Woking can match the three occasions the trophy has been lifted by the Bucks. Telford appeared in the first ever FA Trophy final at Wembley in 1970, losing 2-0 to Macclesfield Town, but returned the following year to bring the trophy back to the Bucks Head.

AFC Telford Uniteds best performance in the competition to date came in the 2008/09 season when Rob Smiths side defeated Gainsborough Trinity, Boston United, Hayes & Yeading United, Kettering Town and Southport before a 4-1 aggregate defeat by York City in the semi final.
