Week 5 of the season for our Youth teams with 11 teams in action, as 3 teams looked to maintain 100% starts to the season.
We start our round up with these 3 teams and the Under 13 Girls who faced Bournville FC at home. It was a close fought contest but the Bucks came out on top thanks to a Leah Davies brace and some top saves from Rebecca Dillow in the Telford goal. The Under 16 Girls entertained Walsall Wood at Idsall looking to pick up a fourth win of the season. In a physical contest the game was decided from the spot by Lucie Hill who secured 3 points for the home side. The Under 18 Girls, the final team with a 100% record travelled to face Lightwoods Lions. It was a tight opening to the game but the Bucks soon came to life led by Fran Scott. Her 5 goals blew the hosts away and assisted by further goals from Caitlyn Smith (2) and Nia Hall gave them an 8-1 victory.
The Under 12 Boys were looking to get back to winning ways as they faced Coventry Sky Blues at home. The boys put in a professional display with goals from Josh McDonald and Jack Tranter they ran out 2-0 winners. Also facing the same opposition we're our Under 16 Boys who put in a solid display at the league leaders last time out. This time away from home they ran out 4-2 winners thanks to goals from Kaleem Hodgkinson (2), George Glover and Joseph Byrne.
The Under 10 Bucks side had a great win at home to Cradley Town with goals from Jack Davies, Ben Corfield, Charlie Evans, Logan Whittaker and Ewan Turner whilst United were edged out away to Ravenstone Youth. Meanwhile the Under 10 Girls were edged out in a close contest against Shifnal Europeans. It was a first defeat of the season for the Under 11 Boys at Dudley Town.
Our Under 15 Girls travelled to face Coundon Court looking to end the away day blues this season. They did so in convincing fashion as goals from Kacey Davies (2), Abbie Norry (2) and Kaitlyn Richards gave them a 5-2 victory. We end our round up with the Under 14 Boys who hosted Leigh and Bransford Badgers. With 3 Under 13s players stepping up (Taylor Carter, Tom Cole and Reece Pagett) they were huge contributors to a 6-2 victory. Reece Clayton was amongst the goals once more with 5 goals and Reuban Payton grabbing the other to bring up the fourth victory of the season for the side.
