Report:
A quick-fire first-half double from Bucks wing-back Steph Morley put the Bucks on the path to victory over the Nash.

Bucks boss Gavin Cowan, who penned a new two-year contract on Friday, chose to rest top scorer Daniel Udoh, and also had to do without Ellis Deeney, whose three-match suspension was upheld by the FA.

Fans wondering who might fill the goalscoring breach left by Udoh wouldn’t have had money on left wing-back Morley as the man most likely; however, when Brown was fouled 25 yards out on 28 minutes, Morley stepped up to curl a sublime left-footed free-kick past Cam Mason’s left hand and into the corner. Less than 90 seconds later, Morley struck again, this time from open play; Ryan Barnett tormented Nash full-back Cam McJannet all game, and his run and cross evaded all but Morley, who stroked home with his right foot from 15 yards.

The visitors struggled to respond, and early in the second half Brown struck home another long-range beauty, beating Mason to his left from 25 yards. That all but ended the contest; Brown should have added a fourth, heading over from Barnett’s pinpoint centre, and it took a contested penalty on 74 minutes from Olly Crankshaw to give the Nash something to show from the game as the Bucks maintained their play-off position.

Curzon Ashton: Mason, Senior, McJannet, Hunt (c), Thornley, Rowney, Crankshaw, Brooke, McAtee (Khoury 84), Wardle (Deakin 66), Wall (Morgan 59).

Unused Substitutes: Shaw, Merrill.

Scorers: Crankshaw (74 penalty).

Cautions: Rowney, McAtee.
